Newly diagnosed diabetic need help with carb macros

So my doctor says I need 180 carbs a day. No more no less. 60 a meal. But the carb goal I set keep changing. I get it that with exercise I am allowed more, but can I keep the carb goal static?

In premium MFP, yes. In free MFP, no. At least, if you want MFP to do the math. Obviously, you can look at it in your diary or nutrition tab (where depends on whether web MFP or phone/tablet app). You can specifically keep an eye on the carb total per meal and per day, and monitor whether you're getting close as you log. You'll be able to see whether you're over/under your intentions quite easily - it's just that MFP won't give you warnings or attaguy messages.
