CHF edema

Hello. I was diagnosed with CHF (congestive heart failure) when I was 28. Now I’m nearing 50 and I let it get out of hand. I’m started seeing my doctors again regularly and am now taking all my meds as prescribed ( I was not previously. I know it was not smart but I was going through a tough bought of depression)
I’ve lost 50 pounds since late August. It was probably more than 1/2 edema. I’m now smaller than I was in high school which is great .
I now have to deal with my dose of dietetics. How do you deal with this? I feel like umm the bathroom every hour.
Also, how do you deal with fluctuations in weight when it’s fluid? I soar highs when I lose but the next day I could be up 3 pounds.
I don’t know if I’m really asking questions or just venting.
Any input is welcome.

Have you discussed lowering your dose of diuretic with your doctor?

I feel you on the bathroom issue! Mine was caused by 11 pounds worth of fibroids, which I finally had removed earlier this month. It's amazing how much larger my bladder capacity is now!
