Need motivation! New friends..

Hello! My name is Kristina and I am in need of some new friends that can help with my weight loss and new healthy lifestyle journey. I would like some low calorie tips and would prefer to see others who have their meals open for others to view. This just gives me ideas and motivation to keep going. I have currently gained a ton of weight and am now trying to get rid of it Again. Thanks for your time…

Hey Kristina! My diary is open if you like to see what others are doing.

    Some suggestions:

I enjoy low carb wraps as an alternative to bread. I buy a lot of turkey and chicken, and make wraps with a little cheese, meat, and a sauce like Buffalo or whatever you enjoy.

Salads are good also, as long as the have protein and plenty of veggies. I like using romaine lettuce, celery, carrots, turkey breast, a little cheese, and I use some sort of balsamic dressing but I also use ranch, the super fatty home made kind.

I don't know where you live but Costco has a ton of good things to eat that are easy to prepare. They have oven browned turkey breast, in big hunks that you can slice yourself. They have "bare chicken" nuggets in a white/green bag, and these can be air-fried and added to salads/wraps. Kirkland protein bars. Romaine lettuce, spring mixes, spinach. More than I can list.

Weigh everything you eat, and log it. It seems daunting but not only will you know your calorie intake but you'll also get educated on good eating habits in the process.

I don't usually weigh lettuce or celery though. Estimating is fine IMO. These things aren't calorically dense.

I eat canned soup as well, like Progresso. The salt intake is high, and there are healthier things I could eat I'm sure. However, it's low in calories and it helps to satisfy my appetite.

I avoid eating out. I have no idea how they cook and prepare the food, how many calories, etc. So if I'm trying to maintain a calorie deficit eating out is a hard no for me.

I also try and avoid sweets, bagels, anything with a lot of bread. I'm not avoiding carbs by any means, but things like bagels have too many calories IMO, and they don't satisfy my appetite the same as high protein foods.

No cheat days. Only a cheat meal once per week (if you must).

But TBH I find cheat meals just set me back and make me crave food more.

The more you do and the more progress you make will help you to get on a roll. One day at a time. One good decision at a time.

These are just some of my thoughts and tips, but I want to put a disclaimer in here, I'm not an expert.
