Introduction to Community.

MFP community,
Hi All. My name is Matt. I'm 45 years old, 5'8" and weigh 276.2 lbs. My goal is to lose 100 lbs. and of course keep the weight off. I was recently diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I also had kidney stones this past Spring due to high amounts of salt and soda pop in my diet.
My plan is to eat a low sodium, low carb, high fiber, high protein diet. I like to cook, so I try to prepare meals in advance. Right now, I'm on a homemade soup kick.
I've started to swim 40 minutes a day. I also bike, walk, and play disc golf when weather permits. I live in Chicago, so winters are a factor.
Hoping you can help me beat obesity, diabetes, hypertension, depression, addiction (to food), and plantar fasciitis.
I've isolated myself for too long. It's time to wake up and get moving!
