cherry recipe wanted.....

Hi,
a friend brought me some Door County (Wisconsin) Cherries yesterday. I was very excited to get & eat them, but they are not the typical cherry you get in the store. They are softer and much more sour than the typical cherry.
I was thinking of de-pitting them and making/baking something but would like to make something low calorie & good.
Does anyone have any recipe suggestions?

Oh, I know what cherries you mean. When I grew up, my mom had such a cherry tree in the back yard.
Now, what I would do with them would just be to throw them in the blender when I make my protein shake. I always ad fruits, and cherries are a yummy extra.
What my mom used to make is a cherry compote and serve it over greek type yoghurt. I don't have any recipes for it but I am sure you can find something if you google cherry compote.
