Is the premium account worth it? I'm really considering it. I have been using MFP off and on for years and I'm ready to buckle down again.

    Depends on what your needs are.

    The barcode scanner is a handy thing for many.
    No ads is not a necessity, just more pleasant.

    Do you want/need to track net carbs? Or ignore exercise calories brought over through a synced fitness tracker? There are some other features, I'd suggest just looking them up before deciding.

    I lost my weight using the free version without issues (to be fair, the barcode scanner was still free then).
