Breastfeeding Moms

Breastfeeding burns calories so I think it would be nice to add that to my food diary somehow as an exercise or just some way so that it gives me a little more of a calorie allowance. I know it isn’t exercise, but I need more calories because of it. Also, I would think it changes my nutrition needs so it would be great to see what nutrients I am needing as a nursing mom as well. I think this would benefit many moms out there trying to lose weight gained from pregnancy and eat nutritiously for their baby!

Just manually add it. Breastfeeding requires 500-700 calories0

That - you can add it as a custom exercise. You can also modify your default nutrition goals, too, if your doctor, dietitian, or other authoritative source has suggested particular macros/micros for you as a nursing mother.0
