There are quite a few retired folks there (and some who aren't retired). Don't panic if you open that up and see old posts. Like any long-running thread here, the newest posts are at the end, on the high-numbered pages. You can use the numbers and arrows near the bottom of the page to jump straight to the end (but it may be good to read the last couple of pages to get an idea of some of the participants and "culture"). Don't be afraid to post: It's a friendly bunch.
I'm 67 and long-term retired, but sadly have to admit I'm a sub-par performer on the friend side of MFP . . . more of a Community forum kind of gal, I guess.
