Tips and encouragement yes, tricks will teach you nothing. Losing weight is more than tricks to lose quickly to qualify for surgery. Surgery does not solve the bad eating habits, the emotional eating etc. Look at weight loss surgery as a tool. Like a tooth brush. It cleans the teeth, but if you eat tons of sticky candy all the time, your bound to get cavities and/or lose teeth. The tooth brush is only a tool, but too keep from losing your teeth you not only need to brush (surgery to shrink the stomach). But you also need to cut down on the sticky candy to keep your teeth (after the surgery tool - you need to learn a new eating life style for the rest of your life) Tricks won't work, you will fail, stretch out your stomachs and put on any weight you lost.
Losing weight is not easy long term. It is probably going to be the hardest thing you will do in your life. It will get easier as your mind and body adjusts and accepts the new life changing eating habits, and the rewards are so worth it. Like training for the Olympics. The goal is to win, but it is a long hard road to succeed with that goal. Good luck and throw the tricks out the window0
