I have a restaurant, and would like to add the menu items to the app (Like what Starbucks and Mcdonalds' did), should I add them all manually from my personal account?
and how can the meal get verified ?

We would love for you to include your content on our program. Actually, anyone can add to our database at any time.

To add an item in yourself, simply become a member of our site: standard membership is free. You can go to www.MyFitnessPal.com to join. Once you have become a member, sign into the account and go to the "Food" tab.

There are labels on that page that say Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and under each category a blue link, "Add Food". Click on the "Add Food" link. At the top of the next page, it should say "search our food database by name" with an empty search field under this message. Type in the food item name directly into this area and hit the green "Search" button.

If the item is not already in our database, there will be a link near the bottom right of the next page that says, "add a food to the database". Click on this link and follow the steps to add the item. When you have finished, make sure you check "Yes" if you would like to let other myfitnesspal members use this food, under the "Help us grow our food database" section.

If you do already find that your item is in the database, but it does not have the most up to date information, you can also edit that item. To correct an inaccurate entry, while online, search for the food item and click on it in the search results, then click the item's "Edit" button. (Please note that foods entered by the MyFitnessPal Staff cannot be edited by users).

On the next screen you can update the incorrect information. Make sure you click the green "Save Changes" button when you have finished. If your products have a barcode, once the item has been entered into the main database, you can then associate the barcode with that item. Simply scan the barcode, and when the match is not found, you can then tap find match and associate the barcode with that new listing.

If you have access to our Android or iOS app and are a Premium user, and your items have a barcode, you can now add new items with barcodes directly to our database within the app. Simply scan the item, by going to Add to Diary, then tap the scanner button, and then scan the barcode. If the item is not found, follow the prompt to add it to database. If the item scans, but is not the item associated with the barcode, you can then tap the button at the bottom "find a better match" and search for the correct item to then be associated with the barcode.

There is currently not a way to add recipes to share with the main database, unless you save the nutritional information as a single food item and then add it in that way. We hope to have a better way to submit recipes in the database for a future possibility.
