In 2016 my grandson set me up in MyFitnessPal because I witnessed his 100 lb loss and was impressed. I did really well until the stress of a death derailed me. Now, at 73 , I have to lose a great deal of weight to improve my health. I am always willing to cheer others on and have a 50 lb goal to achieve. I’m willing and open to all suggestions.

Hi, and welcome back!
Have you checked out the this thread:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10718336/60-yrs-and-up#latest
It's full of people in our demographic (I'm 67) at all stages of the weight management process, from brand new to repeat customers to long-term maintainers. Maybe it would be a good place to "meet" some potential friends/supporters?
Don't panic if you open it up and see old posts: Like any long-running thread on MFP, the newest posts are at the end, on the high-numbered pages. You can skip straight there with the numbers/arrows near the bottom of any page of the thread. (Probably a good idea to read the last couple of pages to get a feel for the nature of the group, to see whether it might fit your needs.) Don't be afraid to post there - it's a friendly group!
Best wishes for success with your 50 pound goal!1
