Enough is enough

I no longer accept that living in a way that doesn’t bring me satisfaction is ok. It is summed up by being a ‘sugar addict’. It’s not unusual and I’m knowledgeable enough to know it’s not permanent. Now I want to overcome it. I find accountability works for me, even self imposed. So here I go. I’m practicing intermittent fasting (14/10). I’m going to log all food and drink going into my body, regardless of whether it’s good or bad. I’m going to sim for 1kg loss per week. Wish me success as I wish it for you. Bee

A 1 kilo loss per week is pretty steep--unless you're obese. Cutting excess sugar out of your diet will help with a calorie deficit. I say this as I decorate my Christmas cookies.

I'd suggest that you get your daily calorie goal from MFP and just try to stay within that everyday. Get a digital food scale for accuracy.

    Good luck.

I'm a sugar addict. It's hard for me to check out at the supermarket line without being pulled in by the many chocolate bars around me. I've gained 30 pounds in 1 year. Nutella is my weakness. So are carbs. Now that I'm overweight, I'm starting on a journey to lay off sugar and carbs and to move more including weight training. I fully support you in your efforts :-)
