HRM Help!!!

Hi All,

I recently bought a NB LifeTrnr heart-reate monitor from Target. Before I ask my question: Someone in my house apparently had thrown away the packaging and there's virtually no chance of returning it.

Did CLX burn intervals and ab burner the other night. My HRM said I burned 982 calories but that seems unrealistically high to me. Heart rate was at about 185-190 during cardio intervals and hovered around 155-165 during recovery intervals. Resting is usually about 65-70. The heart rates are pretty consistent with my history of cardio HR response, so I think that part is accurate, but the calories burned still seem high. I took a measurement after each interval.

Did I use the monitor wrong? Should I not be measuring my HR after every interval? The # of calories burned seems to jump every time I do that.

Thanks in advance for the help!!! I've posted my question in my beach body group on facebook, but no one has given me any help there.

Go to the NB website and they will have a users guide for your device.

Does it have a chest strap? If not it's probably inaccurate.

If it doesn't have a chest strap it's highly likely that it's way off.
