Question on macros diagrams

I am confused on my app, it looks like one reading I still need to eat and on the other I am over. My trainer wants me on 35/35/30 and that one I look lik I am over over and under my proteins. But what is the other and how do I adjust that one to be 35/35/30 also? Thanks in advance for any help. They are both here in my fitness pal, just different screens. I have the premium membership. g6ukxw4uitdn.jpeg

The first one shows your goals in absolute numbers.

The second one is the percentages of protein, fat and carbs for what you ate so far, so relative numbers. They will always add up to 100% even if you have eaten only a 100kcal snack, and if one macro is under your goal percentage, another will always be over.

You don't need to adjust anything except your interpretation of the info given. What your example shows me is that your food so far was relatively low protein and you need a high protein meal for those remaining 710 kcal.

Also…. Before you burn energy and frustration trying to meet perfect goals daily, consider changing to weekly view once every week, for a broader view.

I’ve found that even if my dailies are wildly different, my weekly tends to be on track. I can live with that versus gnawing on the daily details.

It can be absolutely overwhelming, for new users and even long time users, to try to navigate perfection.

I guess what I am asking is how come they don’t match the grams I am suppose to eat at my desired macro of this photo. Every day I go in my macros are reset again to something else to and I have to change back to my 35/35/40

They do match. You have a carb goal of 117g per the last posting. According to the pie chart, you’ve consumed 65g of carbohydrates and the top graphic shows that you have 52 grams of carbs remaining for the day. 65 + 52 = 117.

Yeah, it’s a tricky one. It really just shows the proportion of the macros you’ve eaten up to the time you’re looking at it. It’s messed us all up at some point!

The pie chart is a snapshot of that very moment in time and what you've consumed up to that very moment in time. If you hit or are close to your absolute number targets in grams, the pie chart will reflect the appropriate target %s at the end of the day.
