Workout next day if go over calorie goal?

Hi All!
My daily calorie goal is 1600. Say on day 1 I eat 2000 calories, but don't workout. Then, the next day I eat exactly 1600 calories, but also work off 400 calories with exercise. Do the two days cancel each other out? Or, if I think I might go over my calorie goal that day, is it important to work out THAT DAY?
Forumers, please help!

I've read that it's easier to go by week. So as long as you're under the goal for the week, than you're good.0

that's fine. your body really doesn't lose weight based on you hitting your daily goals. it's more like over a 5-10 period, but it's just easier for us to keep track by days and weeks. like the other poster said, if you hit your weekly calorie numbers you should be okay.0

Thanks you two!0
