    Was going to Brevard, NC to ride MTB this weekend but it's gonna be pouring rain on Saturday. So I've switched gears and have a really big gravel ride planned for Sunday.

    Good work, @SavageMrsMoose, even if you missed your goal. Weather and work have grounded me the past 2 days, but I needed the recovery and plan to ride tomorrow with a friend. Enjoy Lisbon! I was just in Spain 2 weeks ago but haven’t been to Portugal.

    Just wanted to say how grateful I am to have found MFP. I've spent years trying to "ride the weight off" unsuccessfully. Just flogging myself with no results. I raced bikes in my 30's and 40's and when I stopped I lost that structure and the weight crept up. I was just unable to physically do the rides I wanted to do carrying an extra 30lb.

    Now with MFP I have been able to decouple weight loss from cycling and it's been a huge mental change for me. I am losing weight by diet and now ride bikes for fun. I'm down about 18lb in 3 months and am able to now do the rides I love doing. Just did a ride with a guy 16 years younger than me and we were trading pulls and killing it. He would have dropped me on every climb 6 months ago. I'm 10lb away from my old "off season" weight and will get there in the next 6 weeks or so. Very excited about this...

    Using MFP has made this whole process very easy and manageable. I work in health care and have trained racing bikes at a high level, I know a lot about this stuff... but was on such a wrong path for so long. Happy to be here.

    I agree with @Rich_SC that this app has the right mix of calorie tracking and activity encouragement. This challenge and community has really helped me.
    22.5 miles today with my riding buddy after a month or so of not being able to ride together.

    First ever out door road ride! I wish I lives somewhere flat... dragging my fat *kitten* up the mountain side near killed me. I think my pulse went up to 186. On a pluse side it didn't start to rain until 5 minutes after I got home. 9 miles done today.

    34 miles total this year.

    Looks like everyone's doing a grand job so far. Loving these pictures that are rolling in!! (I only load mine to Strava, because muuuuuuh, am a 'tard with tech at times lol)

    Forgot yesterday's ride. Logging today's ride. So two rides to upload because my brain apparently turned off yesterday beyond driving the diaphragm to move and fill my lungs with air.

    Equally brain-farted yesterday so I have two days to catch up on. Yesterday was pure zone 2 on Zwift distracted by reading one of the epic threads in the debate forum.

    Today was a 1hour workout called Twelve Spikes. It was good, felt achievable and I pushed hard on the effort spikes.

    Adding 43mi for a new YTD 1470mi

    80.7mi Gravel, 6109' of climbing. Strava says I burned 5000 cal, haha. What a day... Legs, head, bike were perfect. Had a 12mph headwind for the last 30mi which sucked but luckily it was a lot of descending at that point. I need a beer...

    Oh 5000 calorie burn… I wish!

    Just crunching those calories here with another round of Dust in the Wind, stage 4 A route from Tour of Watopia catch up week. The double xp helps with the levelling up.

    33mi brings todays YTD to 1503mi
