    I’m feeling pretty good about my journey so far as I am down 7 pounds. However, I know in order to have better results, then I need to do better on the weekends. I’m starting to feel like the goal that I set is possible. :#

    01/30-194.8-(Trend Weight: 197.2)- It’s been a long week of working really hard at this. It’s paying off. I think pre-logging my food is helping the most. It really helps me stick to my menu. Good choices also helps me to get in more volumes of food so I’m not super hungry. All my “diets” work UNTIL the moment I get hungry……. Carefully planning is key for me right now. Travel this week is Mon, Tue, Wed. I’ve got to plan for this and not go off the rails. I think I can do it. The weight loss this week has made me feel strong and capable. I hope these feelings stick! I am EXACTLY at my January goal (5 lb loss). My final weigh-in is tomorrow for January. I will try to hang on to this today.

    01/31-194.8-(Trend Weight: 197.0)- I made my 5 pound goal this month. That was the first time in a very very long time. I am proud of my progress and my resolve at this time. I hope the momentum keeps up. We all know how easy it is to start sliding backwards on this slippery slope! Good job to everyone who showed up this month. Onward to the next part of the challenge, February, the shortest month and amount of time to get things done. Let’s do this!

    My name's Kris, and I'm 54, F, and 5'10". My starting weight was around 295 or so, sometime in March of 2019. I'm not sure what my ultimate weight goal will be, but the current plan is to get to 175, and see how I feel.

    February 6: 185.8 - I was still on soft foods most of this week due to oral surgery, and then I unknowingly started the "invisalign diet". Invisalign are those retainers to help straighten your teeth, and you can't eat while wearing them. You have to brush your teeth after eating before you put them back in, so eating is a bit more of a production. So far I've found it's stopped me from snacking because it's just not worth the effort involved. :wink: Nearly 4lbs in a week is not really healthy, though, so I'll be watching it.

    02/06-195.6-(Trend Weight: 196.5)- I ate something for the first time last night that I thought I would HATE. Scallops! Even after rinsing they smelled so fishy but I followed the simple and fast recipe and OMGOSH, they were delicious. Thank you Gordon Ramsey for giving me the faith to try. I was having spaghetti squash with a cream basil alfredo sauce and decided I needed to add some protein and had them in my freezer. After a quick thaw in a bowl, they were only 4 or 5 minutes to cook. According to MFP, the 5 small scallops came in at 89 calories and 4 carbs. I will be having them again!
