Hello Friends :) this is Wissam from Medellin , I just found out that I have high Cholesterol, very high triglycerides and a very fatty liver . So I started a strict diet and sports to get better and I was wondering what would be the optimum Macros percentages on Myfitness pal in my case ? Your help would be appreciated !!

Since you have medical issues, I would suggest you talk to your medical team for macros.

Sometimes the issues you listed get better just with weight loss, and sometimes they don't. I don't think random internet people will be able to tell you much more than that.

Yeah, talk to a dietitian for sure.

High triglycerides is almost a given typically with people that are edging their way towards insulin resistance, diabetes and obesity or already have these conditions. Reducing carbohydrates in isocaloric conditions will always facilitate a lowering effect in triglycerides and it's the action of replacing refined carbohydrates with fats and increased protein, works every time. Weight loss and exercise, will/can effectively reduce triglycerides as well. All these interventions also reduce fatty liver and C-reactive protein aka inflammation. If you research all of this it's clearly documented in clinical trials and in random websites that specialize and that can inform you better going forward and with your PCP as well. Cheers
