Need some help

I have like 1400 Cals for the day I am exercising and burning like 400-600cals. Which is giving me like 1900cals for the day. I’m not hitting those and when I close my diary for the day it’s telling me my weight is going to go up. Any suggestions

I've seen people comment about that weirdness.

You don't need to close the diary. I've been using MFP for three years. Never closed a day yet.

Make sure your weight in your profile is correct. If it is then just ignore the closing. It doesn't really add any benefit. That number they give you isn't really an accurate prediction anyway. "If everyday was exactly like today" No day is exactly the same and it doesn't account for hormones or life.

If I'm reading you right, you're eating at a lower than suggested calorie level - possibly a punitively low level if your logging is accurate - but the 5-week weight projection is going up rather than down?

I'd suggest checking all of your MFP profile entries for accuracy.

What is your actual body weight doing, averaged over 4-6 weeks? That's the best guide for calorie level.

If you're just getting started, following the same general regimen for 4-6 weeks will give you a pretty good answer whether you're on track in reality.

If the problem is more the bookkeeping one, that the 5 week prediction is way off in the wrong direction, it's likely there's a problem in your MFP set-up data - could be current weight, could be something else. Yes, you can just not close your diary and not see the projection, but if there's an error in your set-up, it could make other stuff in MFP come out a little off, too - like if you use exercise estimates from the exercise databases, to name one.
