But I think it would be a good idea and help soothe MIL's hurt feelings to have a "wedding program" listing them as "Parents of the Groom".
Yes, I think this should help. She could even run a draft of it by future MIL and ask what she thinks. I wouldn't back down on the original decision to list only her parents on the wedding invite, though.
And, BTW, I just remembered that for DS' wedding I made bouquets and boutonnieres for the bride, groom, 7 bridesmaids, 7 groomsmen, and corsages and boutonnieres for assorted guests of honor. I bought about $350 worth of flowers, drove 3 hours to the site an a car that smelled like a funeral parlor, and finished them the morning of the wedding with help from my mother and sister. (I'd assembled the bouquets but they needed to be wrapped in ribbon and trimmed.)
And my name wasn't on the invitation. They didn't even put "Flowers designed, created and paid for by Athena53, mother of the groom" on the program. Wait till I see DDIL again. ;-)0
