Login issue on App / Website after changing username

Hi, I am new to MFP. Im using website and app together. I changed my username from bakersten to Bart_Kersten on the website. Then when using the App, it did not recognize my email adress / password anymore, I had to change my password....which I did. Then going back to the website, I cannot login...same issue as on the app...I have to change my password to get in.... What is going on ????
