Second time round....autoimmune hypothyroidism diagnosis

I joined over a year ago. Things were going really well. It started to go wrong and I lost confidence when i was diagnosed at 20 years old with Autoimmune hypothyroidism and Poly Cystic Ovarian syndrome. Now is the struggle to prove all doctors wrong that have basically said I can manage the wieght I put on with disorder but won't completely lose all the wieght i put on from before diagnosis, as with both conditions together it is nearly impossible. I refuse to believe I am stuck being this wieght and this unhealthy. They believe the only way can lose wieght through surgery. I am going prove them wrong! I am 21 and starting all over again from a few pounds below what I started the journey at. But I still can do it!!! It just may take slightly longer!!
I have been finding it very Jardine to get motivated with all the negativity around. Hopefully starting to Uswest this site properly will help.
In the time leading up to diagnosis I put on 7 stone in 8 months. Doctors don't know why the disorders came on so quickly and so strongly but they did. I can't keep thinking about it I need to move forwards. Hopefully there is someone on here in a similar situation?
If you are please tell me for mutual support. Or even better any success stories from a similar situation as me would be great motivation?
Thank you all for reading.

hi.
good for you for giving it another try. are you taking any meds to help with your condition?0 -
You need new Dr's for sure! I have PCOS and Hashimoto's. makes it harder, and slower, but its still possible. I'm struggling a bit to lose my last 15 lbs or so, but I've been very successful. It may have taken me almost 2.5 years to get here, but here I am!0

I am on levrothyroxin... That's it. But I feel so up and down its been hard to get the right dose. Well i won't be seeing that doctor again anyway. As she basically said last visit that unless I want surgery there is nothing more she can do to help me and doesn't need to see me again.0
