HEAVIEST weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
    Total Weight lost: 30 pounds
Time it took to lose: ~6 months
How long in maintenance: Since July 2018 -- but with some fluctuation outside of goal range.
    Maintenance weight range:
    Ideally 140-147
    Absolutely 138-149

(STILL not sure those are the right answers)

Average weight recorded from 2020 (12 months): 147.1
Average weight recorded from 2021 (12 months): 153.4
Average weight recorded from 2022 (12 months): 152.1

Average weight recorded from November 2022: 148.9
Average weight recorded from December 2022: 152.1
Average weight recorded from January 2023: 143.4

    Average weight Week of...
    January 22 - 29 .......................................... 141.1
    January 30 - February 5 ........................... 140.3
    February 6 - 12 ........................................... 140.6
    February 13 - 19 ......................................... 140.4
    February 20 - 26 ........................................ 140.1
    February 27 - March 5 ...............................

Success of the week: Still maintaining even though I had one day this week far FAR over calories. I did it with my own permission. It was ice cream. Lots of ice cream. It wasn't hard to shave a few calories per day for the rest of the week to be back right about 2% under my weekly calorie target and even a slight weight drop.

Struggle of the week: How can I even call it a struggle: We've had some unseasonably sunny weather. Cold, certainly cold at night, but sunny. So it's hard to stay indoors and do the cleaning I promised I would do. I've been getting out and enjoying hiking on lots of local trails and mostly even having them to myself. The bonus was yesterday because I decided to drive to a different trailhead and start from the top instead of down closer to town. The close-to-town trailhead was mobbed, and I met some folks who had to find a different farther trailhead down low just to park. The lower parts of that area were packed with people, as was one small loop up top. Most of the rest of the area had very few people. Just trees, birds, snow, hills, and mud.

    Feb 27th: 50.2 kg (trend 50.5 kg)

    Successes/Struggles:

My weight did drop just below 50 kg during the week but then we went out for the day on Thursday, I gave myself permission to enjoy a chocolate chip cookie (large!) and we finished the day with dinner in a Chinese buffet restaurant.

Overall, I’m happy with February, had a nice 5 day break in the middle of the month and a day out later, and still maintaining weight around 50 kg.

    Height: 5’ 8”

    Total weight lost: 70-78lbs
Time it took to lose: 2-2/3 years
In maintenance since August 26, 2018
Under Normal BMI Aug 4, 2018 through Aug 15, 2022.
Nov 1, 2022 Now over my Normal BMI 9 pounds to lose to get back into it.
Since Nov 19, 2022 Back under Normal BMI!! so basically I was overweight for 3 months of 50 months. That’s a success for me.

Maintenance weight range: 150-159.9 β€œIn the 150’s” This gives me about >5 lbs before I hit Overweight BMI.

    Lifetime high 238-240
    Jan 1. 2016 228.3

    Avg wt 9/2019 thru 8/2020: 157.6 β™₯️
    Avg wt 9/2020 thru 8/2021: 155.7 β™₯️
    Avg wt 9/2021 thru 8/2022: 161.3
    Avg wt 9/2022 thru 8/2023:
Sept Avg 168.4 visitors, seeing friends
Oct Avg 167.8 beginning to get back on track
Nov Avg 165.2 a great month!
    Dec Avg 163 β™₯️
    Jan Avg. 164.3

    Week ending:
    Feb 4: 165.96 visitor/eating out
    Feb 11: 167.3 visitor/eating out
Actual is lower. 164.1 is my Normal BMI weight.

    Feb 18: 167.0 visitor left Feb 13
    Feb 25: 167.9

    Successes:
    1. ALL of my recent battery of medical labs & tests are EXCELLENT. I’m fit & healthy.
Except my BMI is up over 24.9.

    2. I finally began taking my measurements weekly. I was able to compare them a few 2019 numbers & I remembered again how much my inches/clothing sizes improved as I got to 150-155. This has been motivating me.

Struggles: This always happens. Weight stays pretty good while guest(s) are here or when we are actually traveling, but eating things I normally don’t & eating out seems to upset my maintenance balance. After they leave, I continue to crave those foods & have a desire to eat out (compounded by sadness that guests have left/vacation is over.) I need to put the beast back in the cage.

My 5-year Maintenance Anniversary is 6 months from today. I remember reading that maintaining the first year is difficult, but there are still challenges at 3 yeas and 5 years. I promised myself I would β€œstay the course.”

I need to lose ~4 lbs in 6 months. ~0.7 per month. Currently, I’m gaining 0.7 per week.
An extra 350 calories per day.

    My PLAN:
    1. reduce my calories per day down by 400 calories & check again in one week.
    2. Reduce β€œsugar” items (nonfat hot choc) to smallest size & only use fruit only jam.
    3. One birthday meal (already scheduled) &
Then go back to no take out/restaurant foods for March April May June
    4. I love my daily breakfast. Same thing each day. Love it. Now, I need to design/create a lunch & a dinner that I love just as much. I have tried to do this for a long time, but now I NEED to.

    Feb 25: 112.4 (trending 112.7)

Successes/struggles of the week: Catching up on 2 weeks - things have been pretty crazy the past couple of weeks. I sort of fell into starting a second job over the past few weeks (not a necessary job, and only for a few hours on part of the weekend with prep time during the week) doing something food-related that I love, and I've been very busy and running around and on my feet quite a bit more than usual. As a result, I think that that's contributed a bit to bumping up my calorie burn, which is helpful in staying within my maintenance range.
