i'm doing the "insanity" dvd's and i'm gonna be on day 10 tomorrow. the nutrition guide wants me eating 1850 calories per day (i'm 19 yr old girl, 5'4 and 146 pounds) but i think thats too much so i've been eating 1750 calories but bumped it down to 1550 cuz i haven't seen results after two weeks. i got the Syntha-6 protein powder yesterday and was curious if it's ok to substitute that for my in-between meal snacks. I eat healthy and clean, but i wanna make sure i'm getting enough protein & between school + work a lot of times it's hard for me to do. so would eating breakfast, lunch and dinner, but having two servings of syntha-6 protein powder be ok?? ultimately i wanna lose about 15 pounds and tone up..that's my overall goal. thanks for any advice!

First off, two weeks might not be enough time to really see results. Make sure you are eating enough so that you have enough energy to get through the day and to complete your exercise routine.
As for the protein, I drink two protein shakes a day, generally as meal replacements.0 -
Protein shakes are food; they're good when you're trying to lose weight because muscle-sparing is a lot easier with a relatively high (1g per 1lb LEAN body mass) intake. Plus, they can be a fantastic protein:Calorie ratio if you watch which brands you buy.0
