My friend is trying to set up a free account on MFP but it’s asking him for his credit card details.

Can you pleased advise that premium is only charged for on request. He doesn’t need premium for what he’s using it for. Thank you

The standard features of our app, MyFitnessPal, are free to use, and creating an account is free. However, some market sources, such as iTunes or Google Play, may make you initially register your market account with a credit card. This information is actually collected by the market source, not our program. When installing the app, you should see "free" or "get" next to the installation. If you have any questions or concerns with providing your financial information, we would recommend contacting the market source directly.
Please remember, our program is also available for free via our website at www.myfitnesspal.com. You can also use the same username and password with the app via the members log in online. The accounts will sync automatically when there is a valid internet connection and the same log in information is used in both places.0
