Pary Binge - rant? maybe

So I did an awesome job this week...stayed at goal, exercised 4 times, logged EVERYTHING...even Friday night was a sucess in itself. Good dinner no alcohol. I knew I was going to a party on Saturday night...backyard, beer and blue crabs, corn hole. Huh, Crabs & Clams...I can do this and stay on goal, right? Yeah, not so much. I started with a small bowl and picked enough crab meat to fill it...then actually measured a half tablespoon of butter, cuz come on, you gotta have a little...ate 10 little steamers...doing FREAKING AWESOME!!

Then I had my first drink...measured an ounce of vodka, club soda and lime...still in my calorie limit for the day with a couple hundred to spare. Unfortunately at this point, all hell broke loose. I followed this meager drink with cole slaw, hummus & chips, guacamole & chips, chips, chips, HOMEMADE mac and cheese...so cheesy I thought I would never get it off my teeth...another vodka drink...then when I got home, a night cap of ICE CREAM. Good lord does my binging know no bounds!!

The encouraging part of this is that this weekend it will be an isolated event. I have turned the corner on binging...one party does not make 3 days of pigging out. In weeks past this one meal would pull me down for DAYS. Today I woke up with a new way of thinking. Today I am going to get right back on the pony and ride. I have already eaten a sensible breakfast and have laced up the running shoes. I have planned out the rest of my food for the day and will stay under goal even though it is "Sunday".

Today I vow NOT to eat crap from sundown on Friday to sunup on Monday, and so far, two days down and one to go! One indiscriminant evening of random eating a week is ENOUGH! Talk about figuring out what your weaknesses are...I know where my monsters hide and I will shoot them down, every one!!
