Hi, I'm Melissa. I'm 43 and have been a diabetic for as long as I can remember. It started out as gestational when I was pregnant with my now 17 1/2-year-old daughter and then eventually, I was diagnosed with Type 2. Oral medications have worked for me up until now. I saw my doctor this morning, and I have to start insulin once weekly. I'm scared. How did those who are insulin dependent get used to having to jab yourself?

Welcome Melissa,
I can only imagine that this is scary, and I also can imagine you will take on this new challenge and it will become less scary. For sure it's important!0
