Time to get serious.

Hi everyone! I’ve been using MFP for awhile, but only just discovered the “community” feature. My doctor is concerned about my blood sugar levels and my cholesterol. Both are higher than my doctor would like, especially for my age. I’m under 30 and have been really struggling to lose weight.

It was a scary wake up call, and it’s crucial I get my weight, cholesterol, and blood sugar on track so I don’t have issues as I get older. I feel discouraged because I thought I was doing so well. I was going to the gym regularly (3-5x a week), doing weight lifting and running, and was eating pretty well. For the past two months I’ve just been sad and resigned to my fate of being overweight and needing medications in the future. I’m starting to feel better and am more determined to make the changes necessary to live a long and healthy life.

I could use support! I moved away from my personal trainer and fitness community. I really struggle with tracking regularly and making healthy choices on the weekend.

Please drop any helpful tips or heart healthy recipes! I’m excited to do this with you all!
