Today starts my Paleo journey. I am someone that has struggled with weight my entire life. This will be the first time I have tried a low carb diet. Is anyone else in the same category and looking for an accountability partner?

Do you have a problem over consuming ultra processed (hyperpalatable) foods? If not, why low carb and why paleo, just curious. thanks.0

Paleo is a short-term band-aid solution for long term problems. You're actually in a very good position. The first time out of the dieting chute. Don't start dieting. Don't start none and there won't be none...more struggles with food.
Eat all of the foods that you already like. Moderate your portions. Reel them in and dial them down, but not by eliminating food groups. I know a thing or two about Paleo. It's very hard to duplicate and it seldom lasts. It's very easy to fall off the Paleo Wagon. All diets promise unrealistic and unsustainable answers to struggles with weight. I left the Paleolithic Period a long time ago. Most of the promised health improvements are horse hockey.
You don't need to do anything extra special. Start where you are - with what you have. Reel your portions in. Track your data points on your diary, measure your foods on the scale. Reassess as you tool along. Stay the course and you will have your results.1 -
Every diet works the same it is based on a weekly calorie deficit. The macros don’t matter what matters is that you are able to maintain this type of eating even after you reach your goal weight.3
