Barcode scanner not working on Android

I'm a new subscriber.
I say subscriber but what i mean is that i signed up 2 days ago on the premium trial for a month.

I am using my Samsung S20, but i cannot for the love of me use the barcode scanner option.

Upon checking every setting in my phone (and possibly given out more permissions and access required) the button is not responding.

"In order to use the barcode feature, you will need a Premium subscription"

So if i have signed up for a trial premium subscription. Is this what is stopping me?

Because i do not feel like paying €20 just to see the same issue.
