Don’t get me wrong MyFitnessPal is a great app but it has its flaws. If you put a food in the app that has a high fat/sugar content the colors red/orange/yellow will appear. I feel this has a negative impact on the mind being that most people view the colors red/orange/yellow as bad and green/blue as good. When eating their are no foods that should be categorized as good or bad, it’s just food. Allowing yourself to eat these foods then moving on with your day can create a healthy balance between you and the food. When you withhold/restrict yourself from food it creates a negative/unhealthy environment that can lead to a ED or obsession w/ food. It is okay to have sugar and fat as long as you are not overindulging but instead eating the food in moderation. Food is fuel and shouldn’t be used as a way to punish yourself/ follow with a feeling of guilt. ❤️ Urself and the people around u!
