Need support!

I am 37yrs old and just found out I have pelvic organ prolapse. I had a hysterectomy 10yrs ago. I'm so stressed. I feel like the doctor doesn't really want to do surgery because of my weight being a "future issue" although I was loosing weight and doing well until I had the issue. Anyone else been through this??? I need a friend. I need support. :(
ps. I'm 264lbs
was 300lbs.

I'm so sorry! Is there any way you could consult another doctor for a second opinon?

I've never been through that specific issue, but there have been other bumps in the road. For now, just keep doing the healthy things you've been doing to lose that impressive amount of weight already. (Prove that doctor wrong about you! ;) ). If you do have surgery, I'd recommend eating at maintenance for a bit before, and during the acute stage of healing.

Healing requires calories and nutrition, so it's good to take a maintenance break for awhile around surgery, and resume weight loss again once you're healed. I didn't do that around a gallbladder surgery midway through losing weight - a relatively minor thing, since it was laparoscopic - but kept losing instead. I was lucky, healed OK, but had some weakness and fatigue along the way that I think was triggered partly by that. No one needs that.

I hope you can find a doctor with a more affirmative attitude. Wishing you good outcomes!
