Just lost 2.8 lbs in 15 days

Hi! I don’t want to burden friends and family with the latest chapter on my dieting takes, so just posting here.
I’ve been a fad and on/off dieter since my teens, now at 44 I’m finally just doing slow calorie restriction with an initial goal of 20 pounds.
I’m over target coming into week 3 and I could not be more proud of myself. I’ve made a commitment to counting my calories and weighing on schedule for the rest of my life, or until I’ve completely revolutionized my relationship with food and lifestyle and it becomes second nature. Big promise.
I was so reluctant to implement calorie counting- I preferred some weird plan and changing it up every few weeks. The result was basically maintaining a high weight where I could not fit into any of my clothes, and since working from home 4 years ago I’ve sadly been living in jogging suits and stretchy pants, refusing to get on the scale or have my picture taken (y’all know how it is).
My goal for this summer is to WEAR MY OWN CLOTHES. I don’t have any travel plans, nothing special. I just want to wear my own clothes that I bought with my own money and have just been collecting dust!
