Excerise Calories

Hiya

Still fairly new to this after a long break so I have a question about excerise Calories

I have MFP linked to my Garmin watch
Yesterday I did 15.050 steps ans was awarded 610 extra calories

Today I've done 10,724 and only been awarded 85

I'm not eating the calories anyway but just generally wanted to know why there is such a huge difference in the amount?

Any help or advice would be great

Thank you

It may just be a timing/syncing issue. You don't get additional calories directly for steps. Your adjustment is a reconciliation between the activity level you set in MFP and your activity level per your device...if you're more active IRL than you have set in MFP you will get an adjustment up. But these devices don't typically synch in real time...they also make estimates as to how much more active you may be for the rest of the day based on activity earlier in the day which may or may not be incorrect. Over time, they learn your behavior and can be more accurate.

Ah ok.i think I understand. So my general excerise is generally sedentary but I have started adding a workout in the mornings so that explains it

    Many thanks
