Green Apples vs Red Apples (interesting observation)

Usually when I eat red apples I'm crazy hungry later with nuts and cheese and etc. But when I eat green apples with nuts and cheese I'm much more likely to be satiated.

From a quick google search...it appears green apples tend to have:
    1. less calories and carbs --- which makes sense bc they are less sweet.
    2. seems they also can have up to 63% more protein than red type apples. maybe a bit more fiber too.

Both of these things would lead to them being *slightly (apparently in your case *noticeably) more satiating/filling.

    Whoa, interesting research!

Another option: TO is somehow associating certain colours with satiety more than other.
Or probably totally odd: green apples tend to be a bit more acidic. Maybe, just maybe something slightly more acidic sends a signal to the brain that food has been consumed. Of course an apple is nowhere near as acidic as stomach acid, but who knows. Yeah, I'm making this one up. And now I'm waiting for someone to show up and say that apple cider vinegar helps with weightloss for exactly this reason ;p

Nah, ACV isn't red or green or even any kind of nice Christmas color. ;) It looks kind of like orange-ish slightly muddy water. :D

My posh vinegar, which I've been using for quick pickles and salads is also muddy-looking. But it's grape vinegar.
