Hi All. I am a 43 year old male from South Africa. I enjoy hiking and being outdoors. My main reason for being here is to loose weight and learn how to maintain that weight. I have gymed in the past, but for some reason always managed to pick up the weight again.

My goal is to have a slim athletics type body, (which even as a kid I did not have). I think it would also boost my confidence which will help me in other areas in my life.

I have injured myself a few years ago, tore my left leg ligaments by falling, and need an operation. I have since picked up a lot of weight due to that. (stupid of me).

I am hoping to learn alot from this site.
