    You do it by eating approximately 625-750 calories per day fewer than you burn (on average). You can achieve that through any convenient combination of moving more (exercise and/or daily life stuff) and eating less.

    If you only have 24 pounds to lose, that might be too fast a weight loss rate for achieving minimal health risk and relatively easy compliance.

    If you enjoy one or more of those activities, sure, add it to the mix. If you don't, don't. If you're more active, you get to eat more calories while losing weight at the same sensibly moderate rate. ("Lose weight fast" is generally a bad plan.)

    You don't mention wanting to increase fitness. If you cared about that, any activity that's manageably challenging to your current capability, plus fun, is ideal. Don't exhaust yourself with loads of intense exercise. That's counter-productive for either weight loss or fitness.
