I am always going over on my carbs even when I think I am making good choices! Any suggestions. I am pre-diabetic and want to limit my carbs per day.

What do you have your macros set to? What percentage of your daily calorie goal is coming from carbs.....do you have a prescribed amount of carbs from a doctor (or ideally a certified nutritionist)?

Depending on what your macro split is on MFP you might not being 'going over'. You're going over what it says in MFP...but is that catered to YOU?

So for example....your carb macro split should be less than 45% of your daily calories, to be considered 'low carb'. Those ideally would be complex carbs as well or when eating carbs, making sure to have some good soluble and non-soluble fiber as well. Making sure to have fat and protein along with the carbs you are eating.

Do you know if you have access to any educational classes/content (possibly even meeting individually with a registered dietitian) as a result of your pre-diabetic diagnosis? I'd ask about that bc often you might.

You've probably set your carb consumption too low. The American Diabetes Association for example recommends that people with diabetes be offered individualized medical nutrition therapy as it relates to low carb diets. Basically they recognize 40% or less to I believe a low of 25% of calories or around 130g's per day for diabetes remissions. Maybe increase your carbs a little and see if that helps. Also if your on any medication for diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol I would talk to your PCP because this therapy can effect dosages. Cheers
