Why are renewals for premium so confusing?

My credit card had to be updated with a new number, so I *almost* missed the renewal date, which was 4/13 (yesterday) and I did respond to the email with a new credit card number, but got NO confirmation that I renewed. I went to the website to re-enter just in case it was the phone app, but it's still telling me the last billed date was yesterday and NO acknowledgement that I renewed. I've got at least 100 recipes entered that I don't want to have to remake if I get kicked off premium, but I can't get clarity -- a simple yes you renewed and your new billing date is in 2024 would be really really important to get.

You can't renew Premium via email. I would also strongly advise against sending your credit card number via email just as a general practice.
In any case, you're not in any danger of losing any data or recipes if your subscription lapses. Can absolutely guarantee that- That's not a thing.
