Hey are we allowed to eat the extra calories we earn with exercise

So long as you didn’t factor in that exercise when you set your activity level then yes, the intention is that you should do.
However… many people choose to not eat ALL of them as a way to compensate for the frequent over-estimation of calories burned from activity. A lot of people choose to hear half back. I guess this also compensates for some inaccuracies in food logging.
Be aware of how you calculate calories burned from activity, often the readouts on gym equipment are high or include your BMR which you’d not want to double count.0
