Bariatric macros

I want to set up mfp to allow me to aim for 1000 cals per day and focus on macros for protein, fats and carbs because I have weight loss surgery next week. I can’t see a way to reduce the total to this amount in the app?

No, it won't let you aim for calories that low, to not encourage eating disorders on their platform. Ways to get around this (since your 1000 calorie goal has a medical basis):
- set your goal at 1200 calories
- leave 200 calories remaining daily or do a quick add 200 calories into your diary daily
You can set your macros as you prefer, although the options are more limited in the free version.

my calories are set at 1000. you just manually set that in "goals" under edit.
