Low carb

I have lost 4kg in 4 weeks and never felt better. How ? Following the keto diet BUT not strictly YET still lost weight because of reduced sugar , processed carbs. The secret is dropping the carbs. At 1900 calories average approx 50 % fat , 30% protein and 20% carbs. To achieve the ketogenic effect carbs have to be less than 50 grams a day . I've been averaging about 100 grams a day . The best part is not having to battle against hunger pangs.

yeah, I lost most my weight (80ish pounds lost) on 100-150g carbs. I just didn't label it.
I didn't really set out to eat lower carbs, but in order to get enough protein and stay within calories some things had to be limited. I found I could easily cut back on sugar and grains so that's what I did.

Lost weight and improved all health markers fine, maintained healthy weight and good health markers for 7+ years since, routinely eating around 50% of calories from carbs. Hunger hasn't been an issue for me.
Most my carb intake comes from large daily amounts of veggies and fruits, plus some dairy. I'm pretty sure I won't get healthier by eating fewer veggies and fruits.
If low carb works for you, that's great, sincerely. I don't think the secret for everyone is dropping the carbs down to keto (or even low carb but not keto) levels.2 -

Sounds like you are doing great. Added sugars and processed carbs are hard to cut, but the benefits are very much worth it. Averaging 100g of carbs a day not eating things like donuts, pizza, chips, crackers and white bread is telling me you must be getting most of those carbs from healthy, whole food sources like nuts, beans, fruits and vegetables. That should be taking care of your daily fiber needs too. Hopefully, the sources of your fats and proteins are just as healthy.0 -
I'm low carb and I range from, up to 200g's on workout days with an average of around 100g's and apparently different diet strategies work for different people, who would have thought. Cheers0
