    Hello, and welcome!

That's a great plan, and IMO very achievable. I joined MFP at 59, already active, but very overweight. I'd started weight loss at class 1 obese, was "merely" overweight at joining MFP (but had sort of stalled).

I have to say: Getting more active (which I did in my late 40s/early 50s) was a major quality of life improvement. Reaching a healthy weight (which I did at 60) was another big jump in quality of life. The combination of the two is gangbusters: I feel more capable and just generally good now at 67 than I did at 45, no exaggeration.

I'm cheering for you . . . and you know what? The best version of you will have more to give to others, if you choose to do that. Perfectly reasonable if you want to keep all the goodness for yourself, though: You've earned it!
