So fed up. February my doctor started HRT. My food is decent, I gave a sitting job, come home mentally exhausted and can’t move my body. 60+ lbs. even a beginner Silver Sneakers was more than I could take. 😳. Anyone else? Help.

Try not to feel defeated. "If you got out of bed this morning, you're doing all right." Fill your mind with something a bit more uplifting than "so fed up." (I know, sometimes easier said than done.)
Start walking. Everyone can walk. And that feeling exhausted? That's often the best time to do something physical. Get your mind off the negative and once you start moving, your mood will brighten. The body likes to MOVE.
You don't ever have to do formal workouts if you don't want to. But you do need to find some physical activity that stretches your muscles and elevates your heartbeat a little bit. The world is your oyster.1 -
I think fed up is good! Channel that!
“My food is decent” - I can so relate to that! I was also eating very very decently. Trouble was that even my healthy and modestly portioned diet was too many calories. Personally, I was not able to restrict and feel good until I got my blood sugar under control by quitting sweets. You might have a different situation, but modest calorie restriction, not too much and not too little, is a requirement to losing weight no matter how decent our diet.
I can so relate to the fatigue as well. I still have fatigue issues but also a lot more energy once I started exercising. I am doing what I enjoy, I like weights. What activities do you enjoy? I know someone who lost 100lbs while calorie restricting and swimming.
I’m in my 40s but honestly I’m thinking a Silver Sneakers program would have done me in a year ago too. If you enjoy the class, keep it up - everybody starts somewhere. Do what you can. Otherwise, find something else, keep trying!
I can tell you personally that getting on a program that you can keep up with, no starvation or killing yourself at the gym, just sensible progress really works.0 -
I'm way more tired after 8 hours of a desk job with no exercise breaks than if I get @ 30 minutes of moderate exercise like walking during my lunch break. When I do that, I am invigorated for the rest of the day and don't have the afternoon munchies.
I'm 56.
Gabapentin helped my sister considerably with the night sweats. It didn't help me - stopping progesterone did that. (I still run hot, but not as much.)
Gabapentin does help my sleep, so I'm continuing to take it.2
