I need motivation from those who have managed to get on top of their weight.

Up until the age of 21, I was in good condition, but I put on a lot of weight in a short time (30 lbs in a year), and I didn't even realise I was getting heavier. I'm now 43, and over the last 22 years, I've been on various health kicks. Some have worked, some haven't, but I've never kept my discipline.

I get even more frustrated as I gave up alcohol 30 months ago, and the weight isn't coming off.

I need some good news stories as I start on another journey and to help keep me motivated.

Discipline isn't the answer. Making a routine is. The good news is, it's completely within your control. Make it as easy as possible to stay within your daily calories and as difficult as possible to overeat. Don't keep high calorie, junky snacks around the house. After you've cooked a meal. Put your serving on a plate and the rest straight into the fridge, before you have a chance to get seconds.

Did you get your daily calorie goal? Are you weighing and measuring all food and drink on a digital food scale?
