Interesting group, may I join in?

Like a few other people who do MFP, this is about my 4th time around. I am 69 (well, will be next month, so close enough) and am finding it harder and harder to lose weight. I was doing reasonably well until about 2.5 years ago, when I came down with a very severe case of Covid. After six weeks in the hospital, I could not control my eating, and gained almost everything back, luckily not quite as much as I had lost. Since then, I have not had much luck. My bout with Covid messed up my breathing rather severely, now I find it hard to exercise. Even walking for 20 minutes is almost too much for me, much less any strength exercises. I do some minor ones now and then, but probably not enough to help. I used to be able to walk my dog, but lost him in January, so I don't even do that anymore. I think I may have a problem with self pity, and probably depression, but I don't want to take meds for it. I just want to make it through on my own.

Good luck to all of you.

Everyone is welcome here, the boards are open to all, so welcome 😀
Sounds like you've had a rough time, but take it step by step. I'm sure you can make progress. The mental aspect is definitely as important as the physical/ nutritional side of things.
