How long has your weight been the same? Were you able to lose weight before? Weight can fluctuate a lot, so I wouldn’t worry unless you haven’t lost weight in over a month. If that’s the situation, it’s possibly you are overestimating how many calories you are burning during exercise or underestimating how many calories you eat.0

First post so how long have you been at it? If you just started and haven't exercised in a long time, it's NOT uncommon to not lose weight and many times even gain the first few weeks. If it's been longer, than you're likely not monitoring calories accurately.

If no loss soon, take in 3,500 calories a week less. This represents about 1 LB of loss per week. You can go with a lesser number if you don’t have much fat to lose or if you don’t mind a slower rate of loss. Someone obese can go with a higher number so the “ calorie deficit” will vary depending of fat amount.

Spot on. After three years of inactivity in February I started a 16 week exercise training plan. A very easy exercise training plan, but a plan nonetheless. I followed it pretty faithfully. The results? After 16 weeks I weigh the same. I feel better, more energized, and happier. No weight loss. BMI 37.4 all the way through.
This week I started a second exercise training plan, and by the grace of G*ddess I hope to mix in some small changes to my diet and calorie monitoring. I expect sometime soon I'll reach a metabolic tipping point were the numbers on the scale start to move.
