Exercises don't lead to spot reduction - that doesn't work. Exercise is good for a body, and burning extra calories can make weight loss easier, so exercise is worth doing. If appearance is the goal, strength training is especially useful, though it does burn relatively few calories.
If you have fat in certain areas, the best plan is to lose some weight. The weight will come off from different body parts in an unpredictable order, but usually the end result of getting down to a good weight will be positive.
To cut calories, start by logging what you eat now. Notice things that seem like a lot of calories, maybe not worth it to you for the amount of satiation, nutrition, or general happiness they give you. Reduce or eliminate those foods. (Reduce = smaller portions, or less often.) Keep going that way, reducing/eliminating the less desirable stuff, maybe substituting some lower calorie things instead to keep good nutrition and keep feeling full.
As a generality, it's common (not universal) to find it easier to reduce treat foods, "filler" sides (like pasta, bread, rice), fried foods, sugary beverages (soda/pop or sweet coffee drinks), high-calorie dressings or condiments (like mayo), extra butter on stuff, and that sort of thing. If you're not getting reasonable nutrition or not feeling full, add lean meats, fish or seafood, veggies, fruits, and whole foods in general. Those tend to be more filling for most people, compared to highly processed or refined foods.
You shouldn't need to cut out all rich or sweet foods altogether, but many of us eat excess of those, and can reasonably reduce them to reduce calories.1
