Hello my friends!

My name is Jason. I just wanted to drop a line into this thread! I have been here since 2017 (I think). Alas, I lost 120 pounds in 2004, and I gained it all back. My parents thought I was too thin, unfortunately. That destroyed my self-esteem, so now I am back at it. This journey is never ending. I've been in jail, diagnosed with schizophrenia, treatment for 15 years, and everything that can be thrown at me. I'm mostly trying to regain my mental strength, and mentally prepare for a lot of things.
I will be participating in everything. I need to relearn how to swim, run, and bike. I need to do so, since I have planned to attend a triathlon, as a triathlete not as a spectator. I start transition week, and the following 12-weeks of hard work starting January 11th, 2024.
I am doing this for my health and kids. I have Stage 3 Liver Fibrosis, and other stuff. I meet with a liver doc this month, to see where we are at. I want to obliterate it. The liver is a wonderful thing, regenerative, but my doc has said that it may be too late.
I beg to differ. I defeated diabetes in 2004, and granted it came back because of the excessive weight gain (I gained the weight all back in 6 months. It took a year to lose it.)
So here I am. Ready to work. There have been sometimes where I have wanted to quit. To accept an early death. We all have probably felt like that.
But i am here, saying as loud as I can, we can prove everyone wrong! We can be healthy! We can turn back clocks on our bodies! We can do all that we can to become who we have wanted to be, no matter how long it takes, and no matter how many times we may have stepped back! We are ready! This is my rallying cry! Let's get it started!
