How can I add the calories burned by actives other than cardio so the calories by for minutes exercise is correct?

If you mean strength training, you need to use the 'strength training (weight lifting, weight training)' entry under Cardiovascular to get calories. This entry includes moderate rests between sets, so you can log the entire duration of your strength workout.0
